Three of us had a wonderful visit to St Michael's Mount Marazion the other week. The weather was perfect, with a slight breeze, and the sun was beaming down on...
I took the dog for a lovely walk today around Argal Lake near Penryn, #Cornwall. I have often meant to explore the area, but despite having lived here for many years, somehow had never got around to it. As I dislike paying for car parking, I drove past the main car park to a lay-by on the right hand side where a gate leads down to the footpath around #Argal #lake.
The footpath leads the whole way around the lake, which is just over two miles, so it is easy to do a level, circular walk. Going in a clockwise direction, the first stretch is through pretty woodland with lovely views of the lake; the other side is more open, and leads to the car park and a very welcome stop off at the cafe there for some #Cakey Tea! (See earlier “Proper Poldark” blog).
The Cafe Torelli has a good range of lunches and snacks available and is situated between the lake and the car parking area. There are tables and chairs inside and outside and it was very pleasant sitting outside in the sun for some light refreshments.
