Cornish South West Coast Path

If you are coming on holiday, the Cornish South West Coast Path has much to recommend it, especially around the #Porthleven area where the scenery is outstanding. The weather has been so hot and sunny that the cliffs are not as green and lush as usual, but the cliff flowers are still stunning. The pink thrift and bluebells of the spring have given way to yellow and purple flowers which now adorn the cliffs.

Following the exceptionally wet winter, part of the south west coast path collapsed, leaving no short access to #Loe Pool and Loe Bar. The National Trust, who own this stretch of coast, have had to divert the path some three miles inland and through the woods.

However, now that planning permission has been received, the south west coast path will soon be intact once again. The #National Trust are doing a great job and are now building a new path through the fields. It looks as though they are creating another new path too, and not just replacing the old one.

Porthleven is a great place to visit, and the hot sunny weather has been ideal for Stand-Up Paddle Boarding and kayaking. These activities can be booked at the harbourside:
