holiday in porthleven

Why not come to #Cornwall and have a holiday in Porthleven early next year? Come and stay in our centrally located, two bedroom #self-catering #holiday apartment at The Gables, #Porthleven. Spring is a great time to come and visit Cornwall before it becomes too busy. There are some beautiful walks to be had and in the spring, the woods are swathed in carpets of bluebells, and the cliffs are also sporting a dazzling array of colourful flowers. It really is a spectacular time to visit Cornwall.

You are sure to enjoy a holiday in Porthleven as it really is a wonderful place to visit – and it’s even nicer living here. Many of the cafes and restaurants are #dog-friendly and Porthleven has a good range of places to eat, from cheap and cheerful, budget establishments to fine-dining. Our favourite restaurant is The Square, situated a couple of minutes’ walk from the #Gables, just opposite the harbour. As it is so popular – both with tourists and residents alike – it is advisable to book in advance, so as not to be disappointed. During the day, The Square is also a great place to sit outside and while away the hours with a coffee and a cake.

Other recommended restaurants close by are Kota and Kota Kai, both also overlooking the harbour, and run by well-known chef Jude Kereama, who featured in BBC2’s Great British Bake-Off.

The Gables is independently run, unlike the majority of #holiday rentals in Porthleven. We have off-road parking in the grounds of the property, which many of the more expensive, “luxury” apartments simply do not have. Many of the other holiday properties in Porthleven either do not have reserved parking, or have parking a distance away from the property itself, and most charge considerably more for a holiday than we do here at The Gables.

We also welcome well behaved dogs, so why not bring your furry friend with you and spend some time at the Cornish seaside.
